Anti Wrinkle Injections & Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers
As we grow older, production of the proteins that keep skin taut, volumized and supported slow down. This causes the skin to appear less full and lines appear as the skin loses tension.
WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS?
Dermal fillers are injectable agents that are used to give the skin a fuller and more youthful appearance. The filler we use is a gel-like injectable form of a substance called hyaluronic acid. This agent occurs naturally in the human body and is readily broken down over time.
Unlike Botox, hyaluronic acid itself is not regulated and can be purchased by anybody. However, the enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid (hyaluronidase), is only available to doctors, dentists and pharmacies. This enzyme is used clinically to correct filler treatment which has been administered incorrectly or unethically.
It is common to find filler treatment being offered by individuals with little to no appropriate training. Often these individuals are prepared to perform unsafe and unethical treatments. Only by having your filler treatment performed by someone who is medically trained in aseptic procedure, facial anatomy and administering facial injections (such as a dentist or doctor) can you guarantee that your treatment will be safe.
HOW DO DERMAL FILLERS WORK?
They fill out the appearance of the skin, giving it extra volume and supporting it from below. Restoring the lost tension to skin smooths the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
